
Professional Experience
Dr. Happiness Mbeyela is a distinguished healthcare professional with over two decades of experience in clinical medicine, health education, HIV/AIDS coordination, and public health leadership. She has held pivotal roles within the Kinondoni Municipal Council, including Facility In-Charge at Malindi Estate Health Center and Ununio Dispensary, where she effectively managed clinical operations, led multidisciplinary teams, and promoted youth-centric health services.
A dedicated advocate for gender equality and youth empowerment, she has committed her career to promoting women’s and community health across Tanzania. Her expertise encompasses facility management, policy formulation, HIV/AIDS service provision, gender-focused programming, and capacity development for community health workers.
In addition to her clinical leadership, Dr. Happiness Mbeyela has played a crucial role in mentoring case workers, enhancing HIV and AIDS response initiatives, and mobilizing communities for health awareness. She has also collaborated with the Ministry of Health and national partners to develop impactful health policies and strategies.
Currently, as a Community Coordinator Leader with MEWATA, she continues to spearhead advocacy and outreach endeavors, ensuring that marginalized populations—especially women and youth—are provided with vital health information, services, and empowerment opportunities.
Her vision is for a healthier, more equitable Tanzania, where every individual, irrespective of gender or background, has access to quality healthcare and the opportunity to live with dignity.
