Dr. Faraja Lutambi is a Senior Medical Doctor with extensive experience in clinical medicine, healthcare systems strengthening, and capacity building for health professionals. She has dedicated her career to improving the quality of healthcare delivery through direct patient care, training, mentorship, and leadership within the health sector.
Dr. Lutambi has significant expertise in HIV/AIDS care and treatment, Non-Communicable Diseases (NCDs), and Vaccine-Preventable Diseases (VPDs). Over the years, she has actively supported healthcare workers through structured training, facilitation, mentorship, and supportive supervision, contributing to improved service delivery and adherence to national and international standards of care.
In addition to her clinical and training roles, Dr. Lutambi has collaborated closely with the Ministry of Health in the development of national clinical guidelines and training materials, playing an important role in strengthening policy implementation and standardization of healthcare practices across different levels of the health system.
Currently, Dr. Lutambi works at Morogoro Regional Referral Hospital, where she is actively engaged in both clinical service delivery and health leadership. She serves as the Hospital NCDs Coordinator, providing strategic leadership in the planning, implementation, and monitoring of NCD services while supporting multidisciplinary teams to deliver comprehensive, patient-centered care.
