About MEWATA
The Medical Women Association of Tanzania (MEWATA), established in 1987, is dedicated to advancing the professional development of female medical doctors and dentists across Tanzania.

Our mission is to enhance education, promote professional excellence, foster solidarity and collaboration, encourage research, and advocate for improved health outcomes for women and children through strategic engagement.

About the Election
MEWATA will hold its General Election for the Executive Committee during the Annual General Meeting (AGM) on August 23, 2025. The elected Executive Committee will serve a three-year term from 2025 to 2028.

Eligibility Criteria

• Active MEWATA member with full payment of annual fees for at least 3 consecutive years.

• Commitment to MEWATA’s mission and values.

• Past or ongoing participation in MEWATA activities is an advantage.

• Leadership experience in professional or community settings is highly desirable.
